Travel to the Island

In spite of its remote location, travel here is an easy trip. You book a flight into Cancún, where we can arrange van transportation for you to the ferry dock in Chiquilá, from which ferries leave on the half hour. The van ride is about an hour and a half, and the ferry another half hour after that. You might double check with your hotel as some will provide free transportation from the airport. Once you arrive, perhaps your hotel has arranged to pick you up or if not, you can take a taxi from the dock to your final destination. You can also consider renting a car at the airport and driving to Chiquilá, where there are several safe and inexpensive parking lots to leave the car while you’re on the island.
